Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Public Finance Attorney to provide legal counsel and support in public finance transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial law, public policy, and the intricacies of working with local and state governments as well as non-profit organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on public finance transactions, including bond issuances and related activities.
- Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents, including bond validation opinions and federal securities disclosures.
- Collaborate with clients, including state and local government officials, financial institutions, and non-profit organizations, to structure financing solutions.
- Stay abreast of changes in state and federal laws affecting public finance and provide guidance on compliance matters.
- Conduct legal research and analysis related to public finance and provide recommendations based on findings.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Barred in FL
- Experience in public finance law or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of financial law, public policy, and governmental processes at the local and state level.
- Experience working with non-profits and financial institutions is preferred.
- Familiarity with SEC regulations and federal securities law is an advantage.
